Warehouse Automation Manager

This is our flagship product which comes in two versions. It consists of multiple modules, and as such can be configured in many different ways. Although it was initially designed as an add-on for the Sage ERP Line 500 system, the ValueBar version can be run as a standalone. An optional courier interface is also available to allow for stock despatches to customers to be loaded directly into UTi's system.

    Point of Sale System

    The Atom Point of Sale system features a full Windows based interface with integration to till drawer and pole displays. Barcode printing and scanning enable the stock movements to be easily tracked and allows for quick sales with reduced errors and stock codes are automatically picked up by the system, when items are scanned their full details are displayed on screen to verify that the goods are correctly labelled.

    Sales using various methods of payment are catered for thus allowing a mix of account customers, credit cards, cash or even a combination. For tighter control of sales, credits must be placed against previously bought stock to ensure that the goods were bought in store.

    A variety of reports and enquiries are available for the store manager, stock controller and cashier. These include reports allowing for stock level enquiries, price enquiries, gross profit and sales analysis reports.

    Enquiries and reporting can also be done from remote locations thus allowing for head office to enquire on the effiency and profitability of stores.

    Database and System

    Solutions are also available where the database server is managed and hosted off-site. The back-end database is designed on a robust IBM Informix Dynamic Server and solutions are available on both Linux and Unix to cater for all sizes of businesses.


    Service Logging & Contract Billing System

    A full call logging and contract management system aimed at the copier industry is available as an add-on to the Sage Line 500 ERP system.

    The system is comprehensive and allows for management of calls for services and contracts on either rental or service base.

    Several modules have been developed and some are available individually.
    These modules are:

    The system has been designed using IBM/Informix 4GL and is available via a character based interface thus allowing for easy use by remote branches both locally and internationally.

    Asset Management System

    The Atom Asset Management System features a full Windows based interface with optional integration into Sage.

    Allows for seperate depreciation for tax purposes, thus allowing for all the relevant tax rules to be followed.

    A variety of reports and enquiries are available.

    Warehousing - Standard

    Designed using our premium character based language, IBM/Informix 4GL, this warehouse automation system enables users from any location in the organisation to access the main application/database server with a reasonable response time that will not hinder the users/operators. This module is designed as an add-on to the Sage Line 500 ERP system. It enables certain time consuming tasks to be automated while at the same time improving the tracking and traceability of products within the warehouse.

    Warehousing - ValueBar


    What is ValueBar?

    ValueBar is our barcode tracking, add-on system for the Sage Line 500 and Line 200 Enterprise Resource Planning packages, designed in an intuitive Windows environment.

    The modules allow the user to uniquely serialize and label stock items indiviually or as a group. Using the barcode labeling it is possible to utlise handheld and keyboard wedge scanners to move stock items, pick stock items and do stock counts. ValueBar integrates with Sage at the data layer and provides its own intuitive graphical user interface for performing various tasks such as bin to bin movements and sales order despatches.

    The system provides the ability to track items as a group or individually. It improves the Sage functionality by providing streamlined methods to achieve stock movements and control with fewer keystrokes and a more intuitive approach to the various stock related tasks. Full integration with Sage data is provided and all ValueBar transactions are visible through Sage stock histories enquiries as well as all the other standard Sage functionality.

    ValueBar adds a new level of traceability over and above batch traceability to the Sage stock system. This new level of traceability allows grouping of items from various batches into one or splitting items from a single group into various groups with full traceability. Standard Sage functionality allows only single items to be serialised but with ValueBar it becomes possible to serialise a group of items with the same number which further enhances traceability.

    Warehousing - UTi

    This module can be used in one of three ways standalone, integrated to Sage or integrated to Sage with Valuebar. This module is designed as an add-on to the Sage Line 500 ERP system. It enables the easy submission of despatches to customers directly into UTi's system. This allows for error free capture of goods directly into UTi's system avoiding double capture either by UTi or by the despatch clerks.
